Sometimes

Sometimes you let go of people without even noticing. You stop thinking of them every day. You stop waiting for them to reply to you. You stop allowing them to take so much space in your life. You move on, you go about your day without worrying about them. You stop expecting them to come back with an apology.

You accept that they are no longer part of your life. You just let them go, as simple as that.

You may not see it today or tomorrow, but you will look back a few years from now and be perplexed and awed by how every little thing added up and brought you somewhere wonderful or where you always wanted to be. You will be grateful that things didn’t work out the way you once wanted them to.

A love letter

We have to tell the ones we love that we love them not for what they are, but for what we become when we are in their presence.

We should tell the ones we love that they are loved not only for what they made of themselves, but we love them for what they make of us too.

We must tell our loved ones that we love them because they bring out the best in us. We should tell our loved ones that we love them for putting their hands over our hearts and passing over all the foolish, weak things we do, and for drawing out into the light all the beautiful things that no one else had looked far enough to find them.

We should tell our loved ones that we love them because they help us make a temple from our lives, not a tavern. We must thank the ones we love for making us good and keeping us happy.

Tell your loved ones that they are loved for being themselves.

Love,

Carmen Monica

For so long I forgot how it is to wake up in the morning and see the world’s beauty. For so long I just passed through each day following the same routine, forgetting that life is more that trying to please everyone. But the sea had restored my wish to receive each day as a precious gift. The sea is the best doctor in the world. It proves that everything comes and goes and it is okay. It’s never too late to start over.

Self-confidence

The essence of self-confidence is an optimistic attitude along with learning from our mistakes and recognizing that we can use everything that life throws at us as a lesson if we’re willing to be taught. Self-confidence is like a special elixir to help us face the challenges of life. It includes an aromatic blend of essences like attitude, experience, knowledge, wisdom, optimism, and faith. Self-confidence is available to everyone.

Most of us confuse self-esteem with self-confidence. Self-esteem consists of our feelings about ourselves, about how we love, accept and approve ourselves. How beautiful it will be to just waltz into a beauty salon and buy a bottle of self-confidence!

When you are not sure of yourself, but life asks you to be otherwise, it’s comforting to remember that you can borrow self-confidence from your authenticity. When we act as if we’re self-confident, we become so. If life challenges you, you must show confidence or acquire self-confidence from your authentic self.

Don’t give up!

Be the light

It’s better to light candles than to curse the darkness. It’ is better to plant seeds than to accuse the earth of not giving you fruit. The world needs our power, and love, and energy, and each of us has something that we can give back to the world. The trick is to find it and use it, to find it and give it away. So, it will always be more. We can be lights for each other, and through each other’s radiance, we will see the way. Each of us is a seed, a silent promise for better days ahead.

Until you rob yourself of the notion that you are a collection of needs, an empty vessel that someone else must fill up, there will be no safe place to harbor yourself, no safe shore to reach. As long as you think most of getting, you will have nothing real to give.

A perfect mix

I often wonder what does it mean to be independent? Is it making your own decision, standing on your two feet or pulling yourself together after you fall? But have you not always been this way? You have never been afraid to trust yourself, and you consistently find ways to carve your own path in life. It is okay not to follow the crowds; it is okay to decide what it’s good and what is toxic for you.

Being independent also means to love fully and beautifully. It is okay to live a twisted love story that shakes your faith because you trust someone else with your feelings, you put your happiness into some else’s hands. And, by doing this, you thrust yourself into a state of tension that will make you or break you as an individual. When you love, you blend your life with another person’s. It is both thrilling and terrifying, and your world becomes an inner battle.

In love, you are willing to become someone who confides into someone else, who craves the attention, the touch, the kiss. You lean on the other person when you feel lost. This will make you breakable. You are willing to become a person who let someone in, who trusts another person, who can be crushed by the same hands that held you.

As an independent person with a strong heart and a passionate soul, you can’t let go of the part that is used to decide for herself and finds strength in the ability to stand alone. Don’t be afraid to embrace the ridiculously emotional part of you that feels love. You are never complete without the strength to carry the tears, the words and the kisses you freely give. In the end, you are a strong person, an emotional person, a perfect mix of both.
