Echoes of the heart

It sometimes happens to close our eyes and listen to the echoes of our hearts. Everybody falls in love. Sometimes, we love so much that we lose ourselves in our passions. Usually, we wonder why there is love that grows, and there is love that grows cold. Then, we start searching for answers, and we try finding where love has gone off beam, only to see ourselves where we started because we can’t question love when love has its reasons.

Love will always be just as it has always been—silent, enigmatic, and acutely profound.

Many believe that love is forever, never dies, only to be disappointed in the end when they find their hands empty and their hearts longing. They mistakenly think that love is a need to be satisfied. But love is just a gift given to them. They shouldn’t hold it in their hands because they may never find the strength to let it go. They should just embrace its warmth and spark while it lasts and then open their arms when it’s time to say goodbye.

When people fall in love, they don’t want that feeling to end, for it is everything that they wanted. They pray that love will stay and grow in their hearts. But, if it doesn’t, then they should never let their lives be taken by it, because life shouldn’t end where heartaches start.

There is always a reason why people have to move on. When they have to say goodbye to feelings they wanted to stay forever, let them not wave their hands with heavy hearts. Love must set its wings free and find the home where it belongs. They may have lost it, but then again, when they close their eyes and listen to the echoes of their hearts, people will hear that feeling resounding silently forever. Then, they’ll know that love has never left them because the righteous people they had become because of love will always stay. It will still be there reminding them that they should be thankful and happy, not because they have lost love, but because, for once in their lives, that feeling lived in their hearts and made them happy.

Finding yourself

Too many women and men find themselves in situations where they lose themselves in the process of holding on to a man or a woman. They became the women or the men who kept being mistreated and formed habits of saying that they were used with being abused. They became the unappreciated women or men and lied to themselves that the whole process was all right. Even when they were undervalued, those women or men learned to say they were fine.

Day after day, they were put last, and they naturally reacted with the same attitude of “whatever.” They became the women or men taken for granted and they dealt with this situation by repeating like a mantra that everything was okay. Even when they became unhappy, they still told people that they were going to be okay.

The ones reading this right now should understand that nobody is worth losing yourself for him or her, nobody is worth suffering for at the expense of your happiness, and nobody is worth tormenting yourself over for the sake of making the other partner happy. At this point, perhaps losing him or her is the only way you would be able to get yourself back because, as much as you wouldn’t want this to be true, he or she was the only thing that was in your way of finding yourself he was the only reason you had lost yourself for so long.

Simple elegance

She wrote to forget her pain and her sadness, she wrote to forget the woman she were when she were there. She has never known love like that before and writing became her way of coping with losing something she has cherished. Back at her writing table, she would be alone with her thoughts and her notebook. A few visions flew through her mind. She smiled remembering those moments, she took a breath in and felt an overwhelming feeling of contentment. She was into a black abyss longing for a past that would never come back. She concentrated at her paper and wrote, knowing that, in time, she would regain her strength. But first, she had to heal and to be alone. Carmen Monica

As I sit at my writing desk, three signs meet my eye, “Wake up every morning as if something wonderful is going to happen”, “Do More of What Makes YOU Happy”, and “Miracles DO Happen.” They get my day off to a good start.

Friends

Friends have a powerful influence in my life because they change me in ways I couldn’t even imagine. They brought me through my trial, when I needed their strength to go on. Sometimes, they came in the midst of defeat, when I needed a shoulder to cry on. I felt their silent support and their gift to just be there. They gave me the subprime happiness in life: the conviction that I am loved. Someone who has friends shows friendships. Marcel Proust said: “Let us be grateful to people who make us happy ; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.”

Thoughts for September

The easiest thing to be in the world is you. The most difficult thing to be is what other people want you to be. Don’t let them put you in that position. The hardest thing to be in the world is to be kind. Be kind anyway because kindness makes you the most beautiful person in the world. Wake up every day as if you’re going on a mission. Do something that nourishes your spirit, opens your heart, and strengthens your soul. Be humble. Be grateful. Be passionate and determined. Be empowered. Be unstoppable. Live authentically and purposefully because you deserve it.

This is my wish for you

Comfort on difficult days, smiles when sadness intrudes, rainbows to follow the clouds, laughter to kiss your lips, sunsets to warm your heart, hugs when spirits sag, beauty for your eyes to see, friendships to brighten your being, faith so that you can believe, confidence for when you doubt, courage to know yourself, patience to accept the truth. Love to complete your life. Carmen Monica

Miracles and thanks

Every day is unique, not because the sun rises when the moon falls asleep, but because we get a new chance to say thank you to those special people in our lives. Life is meant to be lived surrounded by grace and miracles. They, the wonders, happen every day. Look at flowers blooming, at breeze cooling our fever, at clouds dancing in the sky, at sea kissing our toes. Every breath we take is a miracle and a gift, and so often we forget to consider today the most important day in our lives. We always plan for tomorrow, hoping and praying it will come.

But what about today? What amazing things did we accomplish today? Are we going to call a friend we haven’t seen or spoken to in ages? Are we going to read that beautiful book waiting on a dusty shelf for the right time? Is there a right time or maybe it is just our brain’s perception? Every morning brings new avenues to discover our inner self, a world waiting to be found among the beats of our heart. Most of us choose to ignore the song so beautifully sung by the chords of our soul. We shut it off before it even starts, so the tune dies. Have you ever wondered why the song started in the first place? Maybe it wants to spread a message, a warning that we are just travelers through this world.

We should spend more time enjoying the little things in life, talking to our loved ones, and giving thanks for everything good or bad that came our way. We learn something new from everything, we become sturdier and rise above expectations. We should never forget that life is nothing but a dream, so we should enjoy today for tomorrow is not promised.

I changed

I no longer have patience for certain things, not because I’ve become arrogant, but simply because I reached a point in my life where I do not want to waste more time with what displeases me or hurts me. This is why I changed.

I lost the will to please those who do not like me, to love those who do not love me and to smile at those who do not want to smile at me. So, I changed.

I do not get along with those who do not know how to give a compliment or a word of encouragement. I no longer spend a single minute on those who lie or want to manipulate. This is why I changed.
