Thoughts About Life

The beauty of creation inspires me to live a life where I, too, can create something beautiful. This is why I take time to reflect on people and things around me. It is in these quiet moments that inspiration grows and I recognize the miracles of life.

I see life as a jigsaw puzzle. When I look at each individual piece, it makes little sense. But when the pieces are all in their proper places, the end result is a beautiful image, whole and complete. Thus the individual events in my life may make little sense at the time they occur, but when viewed as part of the big picture, they make all the sense in the world.

I don’t want my life to be perceived as nothing more than noise, but as beautiful music that inspires, soothes, and uplifts. Gothe said that “one ought, every day at least, to hear a little song, read a good poem, see a fine picture, and, if it were possible, to speak a few reasonable words.”

I truly believe that being in the flow of life means letting things happen in their own natural timing. When we try to force things to happen we are met with resistance, and we run up against numerous obstacles. We end up taking detours that waste time and energy, our enthusiasm wanes as the task becomes more difficult. Often we make something happen, only to find that it wasn’t what we really wanted to happen. But if we relax and go with the flow of life, the natural order of things takes over, and timing kicks into gear.

Life becomes effortless, harmonious, and enjoyable, just as it was meant to be.

Joy

How many times did we wonder what is joy?

Little that we know that joy grows in the most unlikely places. Joy wedges itself through the cracks of loneliness when a voice at the other end of the phone line is that of someone familiar and loved. It spreads itself across our faces when we greet old friends. But how is it that joy is found where it’s least expected? In truth, it is because joy roots itself not in the shifting sands of circumstance but in the rich soil of a grateful heart. When we experience true joy, we will naturally express it. Only when we open our hearts to new opportunities we will see that the possibilities are endless.

Let’s look at our future with the excitement and joy we truly deserve. We will see into the lives of the things surrounding us when we quiet our eyes with the power of harmony and a deep power of joy. There is a fulfilling joy that comes from serving others rather than putting our own desires first. There is a place of renewal and happiness within us. All we need to do is withdraw our attention from the outside world and focus on the strength and the energy inside ourselves.

How we feel is determined by how we think we feel. If we think we are happy, we will be happy. If we expect good things to happen they will. This is why we should go where the energy makes our hearts palpitate and our spirits sing, for there we will find fulfilment.
